The photographer behind Anchored Root Photography, based in Tampa, Florida.

I’m a mama to two girls, and like so many parents, I’ve learned just how quickly time passes. The days are full, the seasons are fleeting, and the moments we think we’ll remember forever often slip by faster than we expect. Photography allows me to preserve those moments the in-between ones, the genuine connection, the quiet magic of real life in a way that feels intentional and lasting.

Before stepping fully into photography, I spent over 15 years as a career nanny, caring for children and families through every stage of growth. That background deeply shapes my work. It’s given me an intuitive understanding of children, patience in unpredictable moments, and a calm presence that allows sessions to unfold naturally rather than feeling posed or rushed.

My approach is child-led, relaxed, and thoughtfully guided. I prioritize creating an environment where families feel comfortable, children feel safe to be themselves, and moments are allowed to happen organically. Whether we’re documenting a milestone, welcoming a new baby, or simply preserving this season of life, my focus is always on connection, emotion, and authenticity.
